  November 29, 2015 - Hints of cotton candy, butterscotch, funk, anise, earth and floral notes of dusty rose. Elegant, velvety, beautiful wine made from the new AVA as of 2015 " In The Rocks." I agree with the pros on the fact that the "terroir" in this area is maybe the most " distinct" in N. America. Will only get better with age. Very similar to a Cayuse Syrah if you like that style, which we had next to this one. Both were amazing wines!!!
  
  This bottle we gave a 2pt higher rating than previously
  scored as it became a "phenomenal" wine after 2 days
  in the bottle after opening. So very in line with Robert Parker's
  Wine Advocate score of 95-97pts. 2012 an amazing vintage for Wash.
