December 14, 2015 - This Burgundy has a pretty dark color at nearly 20 years old. This is a bigger bodied wine than I had expected. It has a nice mature bouquet although the taste is more one-dimensional still lacking the exotic fruit and earth of a very fine Burgundy at maturity. What it lacks in complexity is made up in some way by its body and brawn. Nice and enjoyable wine at almost 20 years.

12/15/15, 9:00 PM - Over what time period did you drink this? I found this need at least 12 hours open for this to show its complexity.

12/15/15, 9:05 PM - It was at a friend's place opened at the end of a multi-course meal. It was for the cheese course after four preceding wines. I suppose we consumed it over the next hour and it was not opened until about the time of consumption. It was decanted. I think the wine is still young and has not developed that "roasty and toasty" flavor profile yet. Quite dark too.
