  December 19, 2015 - 1 year re-test update... Still nothing special (too early?) and I'm still not a raving fan of this wine. P&P and took 3 days of slow-ox test/recorking for this to open up... lacked any kind of nose or character and had some alcoholic heat with tannins that hid any real fruit until 3rd night. Finally came out with some floral notes, cherry liquor, and a bit of tobacco on nose. Mouthfeel was still a little angular, with a short/medium finish of plum & black cherry mix. All in all, this is rather bland and I'm not sure if it will ever be a "Rutherford." I'll try another in 2017... hopefully it'll be something to write about after 5 years of integration.
