December 18, 2015 - Tasted at Vilafonté with Sophia on 12/18/2015.
Color: Very high intensity. Coats the glass. Purple.
Nose/Smell: Needs to open a little bit more. But started with cassis, anise, wet stones and a little meat.
Palate/Taste: A rough and harsh start. Slightly savory with notes of meat and black pepper. High furry tannins (7.5/10) and full body. Grabs the front and mid palates. Long and lingering finish, quite grippy.
Opinion: Needs some time to fully integrate, would not crack open another until 2017 at the earliest and can easily go for 15 years. A ton of potential. Less approachable than the 2012 Series M at this time.1 person found this helpful 2,556 views
