  December 29, 2015 - Hard to imagine this is a 9-year-old wine--very fresh with lots of fruit as well as more complex notes--a happy surprise. Expect this wine to age gracefully. I have two more bottles and will look for more.
  Pairings: Rioja is my favorite hamburger wine. However, this night our burger was made from ground trimmings of a whole beef tenderloin. That (a treat in itself) persuades me to open the next bottle with steak or other beefy entree. A delightful wine.
