February 21, 2016 - If there's any oak, it's perfectly integrated. Elegant. Natural winemaking. In this case, freshness, leather, ripe red fruit, very tannic structure, a lot of stuff floating around in the bottle, slightly volatile acids.
Andalucian high altitude Syrah, quite the treat actually. Not as charming as the 2013 varetuo which may have been even better, but this is really good, and perhaps a more serious wine, too.

But as you wrote the varetuo is verry charming ...
And a more playfull and lighter style of wine .
So happy it has became the replacer of the former BO2 ...

Have you tried a few wines of barranco oscuro ?

    In white also .

In red for me the best are , rubaiyat , varetuo , el pino rojo and 1368 .

El canto del mirlo 2010 also good but not yet ready to drink to high acids .
Is there a distributor in Sweden ?

  • Omar Khayyam commented:

2/24/16, 8:29 AM - Yep, there's a Swedish distributor and retail they offer a package deal to buy 2010 rubaiyat, 2013 varetuo and 2010 Granata for equivalent of about 80 euros incl. tax. Given Swedish alcohol taxes seems about right given a quick search online.

2/24/16, 11:21 AM - Wow having wine for a hobby is quite expensive over there O .
Here for those three together around 55 euro ...

Anyway if you try the garnata let me know , I believe I've never tried it !
