  February 22, 2016 - Pop and pour. Dark red-purple color slightly lighter at the edge. Fine oak, dark cherry, sweet and spicy with a hint of herb/earth nose. Sweet cherries, some tart blackberries and copious black pepper. Medium+ palate with acidity firmly in check. Finishes long and peppery with a hint of butterscotch and drying tannin that could use a few years to mellow out. Happy to have more in the cellar for the next few years where they should only improve. 15.7%
