  February 23, 2016 - Still too young. Decanted for 9 hours. The wine started to become more approachable. The nose is very focus and concentrated blue fruits rounded with a bit of creamy vanilla. On the palate, it is so elegant and balanced. This is a huge mistake for me to open it now. The lesson learned is that patience is definitely required for seeing the full power of Pontet-Canet. However, although it is still too early to drink, the wine really lacks excitement factor. In this epic vintage, you really want more from this highly recommended winery. (At prime, probably can reach 93)
