  March 3, 2016 - Bright red cherry colour with slight bricking at the rim. Lighter nose than the 2006 and 2008 vintages. A slightly lighter (in comparison to other vintages) 16.3% alcohol by volume. There's considerable dried fruit like previous vintages, but much more oak influence shows through compared to those previous vintages. Vanilla, cocoa, and espresso appear with some cedar and smoke notes as well. Tannins are grippy and lend to the structured nature of the wine. The 2007 could use a little more time to develop to its full potential. In a word, wow!
