  March 26, 2016 - Garnet with an orange rim, hint of cloudiness. Truffle, tar, dark red fruit on the nose. Firm acidity up front and bracing tannins on the back. This is old school, and would cellar longer. Sour cherry and pomegranate are dominant flavors, with a little strawberry rhubarb pie, minus the sugar. It would be interesting to see if the tannins ease up and the fruit more expressive in a few years. Alas, this was my only bottle.
