  August 20, 2005 - From magnum. Dark, dense plum in color with light bricking on the edge. Lavender initially explodes from the glass and then scent of brooding black fruits emerge with some secondary aromas of saddle leather just starting to develop. Lush blackberries and plums coat the palate with a long smooth finish. The sweet tannins are fully integrated but there to provide enough support for the wine to hold for a few more years, maybe more under ideal cellar conditions. Very similar to the ’85 at the same age. Delicious wine.
