  August 20, 2005 - This wine took about an hour in the decanter to really show itself but when it did I was very happy with what I saw. Bright light ruby. Nose of roses and a little tar. On the palate the wine exhibited red licorice with sweet tannins and vibrant acidity. This was a pleasant surprise, as I was expecting a little more of a “modernist” style but it was anything but. While approachable it will be much better in another 3-5 years. Another excellent wine for the money.
