From magnum. I love this wine, even though it is approaching the end of its life. Incredibly elegant, pure, big bright fruits on an amazing attack. i thought this held up well. Bob thought it might be the WOTN, George thought it was drying out in the middle. I will drink my last bottle soon. One of my favorite Palmer vintages

Georges Notes: Very deeply scented, initial aromas of dark chocolate, smoke, and earth, with a deep layer of ripe black fruits aromas of plums and blackberries, touch of leather, a very sumptuous nose; sweet and ripe on the first taste, rich black plum and berry flavors; touch of spices and black pepper; in the mid-mouth this wine suffers from the usual issues with this vintage now, drying out and thinning out; more red fruit flavors emerge with rather sharp and intrusive acidity; pretty much the same on the finish; there is little future for this wine as it will continue to dry out more, but it is still a nice complement to food.
