Community Tasting Note

April 15, 2016 - Dark, stained cherry wood color. Nary a sign of age. Fragrant, foreshadowing the palate to follow. This opens with black cherry, sous bois (deconstructed in this case as earth, pine resin and moss) and spice. There is an interesting interplay between sweet and sour elements. Wine Spectator graded this a 93 blind against it's peers. This is in its early drinking window. The tannins are largely integrated; it's still endowed with fruit and its developing nicely. This 2005 won't bite, so treat yourself. 92

4/16/16, 11:30 AM - Nice note. I have enjoyed a couple bottles with over a case remaining. Agree this is in the early stages of drinking.
