April 30, 2016 - Opened and drunk within 1.5h. Rather explosive nose, candied cherries, licorice, menthol. On the mouth, tannins were still slightly gripping at first, making me say this is still in early days and should be let alone for another couple of years. Creamy palate, with red/black fruits, licorice, graphite, with just a hint of spice in the back. Medium acidity, medium+ body, not very long, hot (it made me wonder, was 2004 a hot summer?). Quite enjoyed, but it lacks depth and complexity. I agree with others that it's overpriced.
