killer monastrell. Big but not clumsy. opulent, but interesting. . Highlights the varietals big fruit, affinity for oak, and savory undertones.
Full bodied, just enough acid, and chewy tannins with some nice grip.
matching nose and palate of ripe black plum fruit, blackberry cordial, and curants. A tangy blood orange and candied ginger midpalate note lifts up the ripe dark berry aromas. The oak is supportive but not dominating and adds an integrated coffee bean/mocha note that adds even more interest. A cool medicinal herb and almost volcanic mineral note on the long finish wraps everything together.
definitely try this.2 people found this helpful 2,206 views
