  May 21, 2016 - Muted nose on open. Deep ruby color, very little if any noticeable bricking. Decanted. Dark, ripe red fruit with a touch of syrupy cassis, menthol, and sweet tannins gave this amazing depth and persistence. Acids were in check and beautiful balance and gave a sense of virility to this 22 year old wine. Reached apex after approximately four hours but didn't show signs of fading. Everything I love in California cabs and wish there were more wines like this being produced today.
