  May 26, 2016 - I've had the past several vintages of this and while it isn't my favorite Montebuena, it works out for the price point. I recall you saying this was a barrel sample? Young and bright and structured for immediate drinking. Ripe cherry and strawberry fruit upfront but a hollow finish. Juicy acid but the tannins are a bit green. Not very old world or complex but an affordable fruit driven cuvvee from a difficult vintage.
