Well this has certainly improved since release, really a much more relaxed and integrated wine now. I would have gone about 91 on release.
Outstanding nose with gentle earth, clay, aniseed, some pretty floral
herbal element, graphite, cloves and spiced yoghurt.
lighter medium bodied, silky smooth, very refined high end red wine jelly both in flavour and texture, pepper and a gentle aniseed tail. Length and depth both goo but the only aspects prevent a 95 rating. Both are decent without being spectacular. Quite Italian overall, what a wine. love this.
