January 4, 2008 - My friend Micha brought this to our New Year's Eve dinner to accompany lamb stuffed with rosemary and bacon (recipe of Jamie Oliver in his first book). The match was good. On the palate this was silky if a bit smoky and somewhat dry with relatively little fruit. The main aromas here were lead pencil (almost too strong for my taste) and some smoky leather notes. We opened the wine about 2 hours prior to drinking and decanted for about 20 Minutes. I think this was not enough and I suggest decanting and/or cellaring for more time.
