  January 5, 2008 - Picked this up because my store was out of Matua's Paratai Sauv Blanc (with the whale tail on the label) which is outstanding. This bottle, however, is nothing special at all. I do not agree with previous ratings on this wine. It's a little flabby, not as crisp and acidic as it should, doesn't have the classic citrus flavor profile of all the great NZ Sauv Blancs that are out there. Has some grassy flavors and offers a harsh finish on the back of the throat.
