Community Tasting Note

July 23, 2016 - Green-tinged gold. Nose of pineapple, pear, vanilla, and oaky spice. The oak is still quite prominent, surprising for the age, and rather distracting from what could be an elegant Chardonnay. (Bottle 12099)

7/24/16, 9:41 PM - Thanks for your note and rating. Depressing to read. Perhaps the oak's prominence is bottle variation? We have found the integration to be outstanding in the few bottles we have sipped over the last two years. We are saving one more to try circa 2020. Dunno...have you experienced this issue in other 2009 Kistlers?

I don't like prominent oak so perhaps your palate may enjoy this more.
