  January 1, 2015 - This bottle was lost in the cellar along with a few others. The wine appears to have slowly oxidized over time and taken on a port like quality. Definitely no significant vinegar overtones on the nose or palate. To my amazement, it is drinkable to a certain extent with just the slightest hint that something stopped the vinegar process. Not great any more as it was back in the mid to late 1980s, but not bad either and a testament to how well Bill Jekel and his team made wine from the 1983 vintage.
