July 28, 2016 - This needs a little time for the tannins to resolve. Very nice with food, a little crunchy stand alone. Right now, I prefer a recent 2011 but I'm optimistic that a year or 3 of btl age will enhance the experience significantly. Right now slightly crunchy red fruit, stony minerality and a hint of herbal notes. I'll likely buy 2-3 of these and see where they are done the line. A little darker color than 2011. 13% Alc. I popped and poured in a burg glass. If, I drank another one soon, I'd decant it for an hour or so.
