Community Tasting Note

September 3, 2016 - Upon opening it was like Minute Maid Blueberry juice and Welchs Grape juice. Couldn't drink it on day 1.

Day 2 It has settled down and is much more drinkable but still has lots of blueberry and grape juice notes. Finish is dry with Oak and alcohol . Still haven't decided if I like it yet.

9/3/16, 7:33 PM - Thanks for your note. Yes, on first blush, we can appreciate your comments regarding two juices of our distant childhoods. We have yet to sip the 2012 as we usually like to sip Maybach at around 5+ years. Definitely a wine that requires several hours of breathing even when she is ready to blossom. Do not give up on her...she is a rockstar in waiting...

9/4/16, 5:54 AM - I have drank loads of Maybach Materium from 2007 - 2012 and all have been amazing. Didnt need to wait 5+ years. I wont buy any wine I need to wait 5+ years to drink. Im to impatient and I dont have enough room to store that many bottle. I only buy whats ready to go for the most part. But I believe this bottle needs a lot of time. No big deal, its just wine.
