  September 11, 2016 - First Growths at Capital Grille (Capitalle Grille, Mpls, MN): Light gold color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. This is another one of those wines that you immediately recognize as great. There is no doubt, no confusion, this jumps out of the glass on the nose and palate. It has the intensity on the nose with a great toasted, yeastiness, with depth and complexity, pear and citrus abound. The palate has that nuance, but what really strikes you is the balance of power and elegance; the elegance that is Comtes, but with the power of the '02 vintage. Just so nice and so good. Hard to describe, but this is now just hitting peak IMO. 95+ to 96pts.
