September 16, 2016 - 66x Parker 100-Pointers from Bordeaux 1947-2010 tasted blind (Switzerland): Tasted blind. Dark purple. Nose of blue fruit, pine, dried fruit. Rich and ripe on the palate, good aromatics but painful tannins with a very dry finish. Clearly over-extracted, not much pleasure in drinking this, a pity after a good start in the nose. What a cursed flight this was, drying tannins all over the place in these 2005 St.Emilion - 100 pointers no where in sight. This was the third worst wine over the two evenings. Group score: 15.80, group rank: 61/64
