    October 6, 2016 - Loved it..!! Drank with a friend and it epitomized syrah....
    Great garnet color, little or no rim variation...still young...
    Incredible nose of dark chocolate, leather, espresso and a hint of earth...
    Palate was similar and included dark red dried fruit...dried dark red/black cherries...
    Great balance....was expecting some more heat, as I opened a bottle six months ago....but balance was impressive...medium high alcohol, low acidity, medium high body...
    We loved it..!! 92

    My idea (and perhaps not yours) of a perfect syrah is very old world...Northern Rhone - Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas etc...
    Not as fruit forward as I find many of the Californian Syrahs (although I love them for what they are as well.....they are all delicious).
    I was just surprised by this wine, as I found it not to be so fruit forward and with much less heat as is to be expected from many new world wines....

    10/6/16, 8:43 PM - Apologies...I am kind of lazy at times and don't post everything...have been a member for a while and lived in Europe for approx 20 of my last 30 years, so lots of benchmarks for me are European, but just becoming more active on CT as group of friends locally and globally use it to chat, but need to get better at my level of consistency.
