October 14, 2016 - Earthy with red berry flavors: that soil aroma that surrounds you as you lay in the thick grass of water laden soil on the side of a hill on a spring day in a field of red berries. Balanced through to the finish with nice acid, alcohol heat say "I'm here, but I'm not going to dominate the conversation", mild tannins, fruit forward, but not a bomb by any stretch of the imagination. Flavors coming out after a few minutes include spices like pepper fruit narrowing down to raspberry. Nice and dry on the finish with wafting flavors over mild heat on the tongue.
Highly recommended @$20, a nice safe choice to go with many foods due to its balance with pleasant flavor that makes for a strong presence of the wine without overpowering the food.
