November 13, 2016 - I guess I am cheap because I still cant resist buying wine from wtso. This one caught my eye as the alcohol content was purported to be only 11.8%.

The back of the label states this wine is made from pommard and wadenswil pinot clones and time in barrel listed as '10 months french.' Id assume they meant oak, but that was not specified.

Visually: light transparent purple. Near clear rim. Can easily read text on paper im holding the glass over.

Nose: cherry cola, strawberries, rootbeer ( tn on back of label suggest sassafras), loam and barnyard.

Palate: red fruit, pomegranate, light to medium body with a whole lot of earth and pleasingly bitter finish which i cant put my finger on but reminiscent of pomegranate pith.

On the whole, very nice wine with a distinctly old world feel.

If i had paid burgundy prices im not sure id feel so positive about this bottle, but @ $19, I'd pronounce this an unmitigated wtso success story.
