Community Tasting Note

December 9, 2016 - Deep ruby red with high intensity. Dark and brooding nose with lots of baking spices, smoked berries, and blackberries. Nose carried and easy to smell as soon as we opened the bottle. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Thick and plush palate with notes of dark cocoa, dark berries, both black and red. Super long and lingering finish. Absolutely delicious and easy to see where this will go in a few years since two hours was nowhere close to a long enough decant. Drink from 2017 till 2030.

12/30/16, 9:05 PM - Great review, however I'm slightly surprised to hear you suggest a drinking window at 2017, based on the heavy tannin and the fact that a 2 hour decant wasn't close to enough. Your tasting seems to agree with most others, that this won't really be in it's prime for several more years. We each have our own system for ratings and aging, so I greatly appreciate your detailed review, which really makes this community so great! I'm trying my best to hold on to my one bottle for a little while longer! Cheers! :)
