November 3, 2016 - Blind tasting of wines from Northern Rhône. The pirate. Beautiful and rather lavish bouquet of cherries, strawberries, sous bois, red currants, licorice, cloves, gingerbread and leather. A medium-bodied wine, with medium-plus, ripe tannins and lively acid, which cater for an excellent drive and structure in the mouth. Notes of cherries, red fruits and licorice coat the palate and carry through the rather long-lasting finish. Nice complexity and as a wine a simply wonderfully harmonious whole.
Blindverkostung Nördliche Rhône. Der Pirat. In der Nase entdecke ich Aromen von Kirsche, Erdebeere, sous bois, roter Johannisbeere, Lakritz, Nelke, Pfefferkuchen und Leder. Herrliches, eher verschwenderisches Bouquet. Im Mund besitzt dieser Wein eine tolle Struktur und Trinkfluss, mit schöner, trinkanimierender Säure und mittleren+, reifen Tanninen. Noten von Kirsche, roten Früchten und Lakritz am Gaumen. Sehr langer Nachhall. Komplex und wirkt insgesamt wunderbar stimmig.2 people found this helpful 2,412 views
