  December 24, 2016 - Very nice Portuguese red from Estremoz. I gave it a few years cellaring and it rewarded kindly with a beautifully balanced wine that would compare favourably with a fine Bordeaux from a warm vintage like 2003. Smoky notes came through from the oak aging and the wine was still in good shape. The inclusion of cabernet sauvignon in the blend was clear yet its Portuguese origin shone through.
