  January 13, 2017 - Despite my heavy skepticism toward the CH wines over the years (the bottle variation, for example), this particular lot delivers well, repeatedly. A relatively ripe cab, but it has the structure, acidity, and complexity. Improved significantly over several hours of decanting, exhibiting red currant, blackberry, and blue fruit notes on the palate. Better showing than the over-hyped 2013 Clos du Val Cab, of which I have had several bottles over the last 8-10 months.
