  January 15, 2017 - Decanted for about 2 hours before drinking. Very dark and inky purple-red with very long legs. Nose has aromas of licorice and pencil shavings. This wine is lush and thick, almost chewy in the mouth. Dark fruit flavors overwhelm, and the finish is long but a little bitter, probably due to the lingering tannins. This was a nice wine but I would give it a few more years.
