  February 2, 2008 - Decanted for 1 hour. This wine exhibited a dark garnet/purple color. On the nose, aromas of black cherries, blackberries and raspberries were joined by a smoked meat element with hints of earth and floral elements. On the palate, cherries, blackberries and plums led to notes of bacon fat and licorice finishing off with hints of earthiness and spearmint. This wine has a lot of potential and I look forward to opening my next bottle in another year or two. HS91+
