  February 2, 2008 - Decanted for 30 minutes and poured back into bottled. Served over a period of two hours. This wine exhibited a dark purple color. On the nose, aromas of kirsch liquor, blackberries,and blueberries were present with notes of tar, chocolate and toffee. On the palate, flavors of blackberries, plums, black cherries and raspberries were met with notes of mocha and spice. The first glass revealed that this was still a bit closed but it would open up on the last glass of the night (where these notes come from). The first bottle I had of this definitely showed a bit better. HS92
