  February 3, 2017 - Upon the cork being pulled there were aromas of florest floor and truffle with a opaque ruby color in the glass with bricking around the rim. After about 1-2 hours the wine really opened up with cherries, roses, tar, balsamic, and cinnamon/sweet spice on the nose. The palate was rich without the heaviness a younger Barolo would show, and the finish just went on and on. The acidity was amazing for such an old wine and it really out shined the Burlotto '64. Well stored bottles are a treasure, so drink up.
