Community Tasting Note

February 14, 2017 - Wow wine for the AFWE! This was magical. Purchased on release, this is ageing so well. Some petrol notes, with chalky stones washed in orange juice. With time in the glass, some candied citrus notes. The palate is light bodied, but tries its best to be medium bodied. Notes of jagged lanolin and wood, spun with a thread of orange zest. The nose then goes into this crazy, ever-changing mineral-citrus-stone fruit quest, and my head is spinning. As it warms, some more body moves in, but the acids are electric, and the wine just short-circuits my brain. I had my first one of these soon after release - not too exciting, this one, just a trip. I wish I had cases. And cases. Drink thru 2026. Thrilling. 100% Romorantin. 12,0% abv. highly recommended

PnP, served non-blind. With an oven-roasted chicken bedecked with slices of lemon and herbs, just perfect.
