  November 16, 2016 - Blindverkostung mit Freunden. #8 In der Nase zunächst deutlich weniger Frucht als erwartet. Erst Mokka, Espresso, Holz, Bittermandel und Leder, und nur mit zusätzlicher Luft dann auch zögerliche Note von Amarena, Pflaume in Kakaopulver und Schokolade. Am Gaumen sehr saftig, aber mit noch sperrigen Tanninen, mittlerem+ Körper und noch nicht komplett verpackten 15 Vol.-%. Etwas portähnlich. Kirschen, Pflaumen, Kakao und Mokka entdecke ich am Gaumen. Langer Abgang. Zu jung, zu jung, zu jung. 92+
  
  Blind tasting with friends. #8 At first the bouquet is dominated by rich notes of mocha, espresso, wood, bitter almonds and leather. It took a while and additional aeration to charm the more fruity components into showing themselves. After having unlocked them, the wine shows hesitant yet beautiful notes of morello cherries, plums, cocoa powder and chocolate. Juicy, but an also still edgy and nervous attack on the palate, with medium-plus body, still unyielding tannins and not-so-well-integrated alcohol of 15 % abv. Reminds me somewhat of a young a port wine at this stage. Flavors of cherries, plums, cocoa and mocha are noted on the palate. Long-lasting finish, but definitely too young! 92+
