February 28, 2017 - Dark, large wine of licorice, dark fruit, tobacco. Quite apparent when tasting next to Haut Brion how La Mission is a tougher, bigger more masculine wine than HB. Very nice wine - especially for the vintage. Tell you what, '04 keep surprising me. Maybe an under-the-radar vintage. Classic. That said, guess I was expecting a wee bit more of such a legendary winery.

My experience is that between 1-2 hours works fine.

    Enjoy!
