  February 17, 2008 - Concentrated dark fruit on the nose with a round and dominant oaky finish. Starts like many hedonsitic Napa/Sonoma Syrahs, but I'm hoping for better. I let it set for 3 hours in the bottle. Spice and tannins start to emerge as the oak fades into the background. Currant, cassis, and dark cherry and emerging bright fruit. I've met with George Unti many times at his winery and his Syrahs in particular never cease to amaze. This wine started as a 90 but has now earned a 92. Got one bottle left, I'll hold on to it for a few years or more.
