Community Tasting Note

March 10, 2017 - If you read my 07 Keefer notes, I decided to pull this one also as I thought it might be over the hill or flawed. Opened not decanted: fresh dark tastes of black grapes with dark cherry notes. Medium weight in body but ends with a harsh and choppy finish. Good on Day 1.

Finished on Day 2: the wine was the same but the finish resolved to silkiness. Good to Very Good.

3/10/17, 5:41 PM - Did you open a 375, 750 or magnum. I am holding one magnum in my cellar and I was thinking of popping it this spring. Did you PNP or decant etc. your feedback would be helpful as no one has written about this wine in almost four years. Thanks. Mark

3/11/17, 7:13 AM - Hi, Mark. A 750, not decanted. I'm guessing an hour in the decanter will greatly benefit and smooth the finish. However, the mag may behave differently. Enjoy!
