  November 22, 2016 - Very classy nose, reminiscent of prunes, leather, cloves, tobacco, tart cherries, cinnamon and wood. Given some additional time in the glass, the wine becomes more meaty and substantial in character, with notes of raw meat, blood oranges, gingerbread and cherry pits. A display of medium-plus, fresh acid, fine-grained, ripe tannins and a medium body on the palate. A juicy savoriness with flavors of tobacco on the palate, paired with aromas of cloves, plums, leather, wood, morello cherries, nutmeg and subtle toasty notes. Complex, elegant and wonderfully unagitated, yet without appearing withdrawn. Long-lasting finish.
  
  Unheimlich klassische Nase nach Backpflaume, Leder, Gewürznelke, Tabak, Sauerkirsche, Zimt und Holz. Mit zunehmender Zeit immer fleischiger werdend, mit Noten von rohem Fleisch, Blutorangenzeste, Pfefferkuchen und Kirschsteinen. Im Mund eine mittlere+, frischere Säure, feinkörnige und reife Tannine und mittelkräftiger Körper. Saftige, tabakige Würze am Gaumen, zu der sich Aromen von Nelken, Pflaumen, Leder, Holz, Schattenmorellen, Muskat und dezente Röstnoten gesellen. Komplex, elegant und herrlich unaufgeregt, aber auch nicht zurückhaltend. Langer Abgang.
