  March 19, 2017 - Second Sunday Group: Montalcino (Leon's): Popped and poured. This particular bottle was ready to go from the start. Red berry fruit along with herbs, lavender, roasted meat and peppery spice aromas follow through on the palate. Soft tannins with plenty of fruit and spice carrying through the finish. paired perfectly with braised short ribs. Just beginning to enter a lengthy window of prime drinking, now through 2024+.
