March 30, 2017 - The sweetness I detected on the first two bottles is mostly gone and replaced by a more structured wine that has a longer life than I previously thought. Lots of black fruit, licorice, coffee, dark chocolate and hints of sweet oak. The onlynthing that takes this bottle down a point is that the alcohol was very prevalent on the nose and on the backend, but otherwise a really nice wine.

If a 6-8 months of downtime tame the alcohol we have a complete winner.

3/30/17, 7:36 PM - Good update. I've been trying not to just pound these right away and wait a bit. Thanks for the note as always!

3/30/17, 7:43 PM - Thanks csimm, this has been an interesting wine to follow. It drinks so easy and it's so good that it's not hard to blow through a six pack. I have one left and will do my best to wait a little longer. :)
