  April 15, 2017 - I brought my sole remaining bottle of this to dinner at our favorite restaurant last weekend. This is in a really good place now. The balance among the fruit, acidity, and tannin (muted, but there) is fantastic.
  
  This bottle had a bit of funk that blew off after about 15 minutes. The dark fruit was there from the outset, but the deeper "umami" of licorice and other flavors that are hard to describe, came alive after about an hour. This is a fantastic wine. I'm convinced that this has a lot of life left and could certainly attain a mark as high as 95pts, if not higher, in another 5-10yrs. No rush to open this if you have any sitting around.
