Light, clean, clear and very carefully made. A pleasure on the tongue, with a certain character all its own that it seems very sure of. Just slightly sweet, the sugar melding beautifully with the acid and fruit. Excellent length and consistency. If there is a shortcoming, it's a slight sense of restraint; I think this wine is very young and will blossom into something even more interesting with some time in the cellar.
5/3/17:
Finished what was left (kept in the fridge under vacuvin). Completely consistent with what I tasted on opening (in my experience, a Riesling lasting that long without degradation is a good one!). In particular, that lovely light come-hither quality was still very much there.
1/8/18 (and several days thereafter):
This one had a slight bitter note, somehow I couldn't get into it. Off bottle?
Finished the rest of this 1/22/18 (two weeks later). It had been kept in the fridge in a small bottle. A bit one-dimensional at first, but later it started to open up and become more interesting. So perhaps it is becoming shut-down; in any case it seems to need a lot of air at this stage.748 views
