May 16, 2017 - Fermented in a concrete egg. Elevage in the egg as well if I understand correctly. Made with use of carbonic maceration and whole cluster, and it shows. Too much. A fresh and very aromatic wine but the Pinot Noir is lost here among the results of the winemaking, and the stems give too much of a slightly underripe strawberry and watermelon rind character. There is nothing technically wrong here but I would prefer Pinot Noir to carbonic stems. The EGGO Chardonnay (Blanc de Cal) is a far more successful wine in my view.
