  June 16, 2017 - This is drinking beautifully. Not many WV '09s would make it to this upper echelon. We ran it through our Menu winebreather aerator and it opened up nicely right out of the gate. By glass #2 it really began to sing. Cherry leather bouquet - very fruit forward on the palate with a hint of minerality that adds a nice layer of depth. Long finish with a subtle spice note on the end. Superb. It still shows some longevity. Laurene has an impeccable reputation though for this vintage we are very impressed. Glad we still have one left in the cellar. Will plan to hold it another 2-4 years.
